George Floyd Vigil June 2020
My small town of Vashon, Washington came together to hold a candlelight vigil for George Floyd on Friday, June 5, 2020. People of all ages came together, to honor this man and to protest his murder at the hands of the police. No one said a word. People stood motionless and silent, until the entire town took a knee, to signify the atrocity of the police officers placing their knees on Mr. Floyd's neck and back, which ultimately killed him. It was immeasurably moving.
